Go Bobcats!

Floor hockey is an indoor hockey game, in the style of ice hockey, played on a basketball court. Teams are composed of six players, including a goalie. Athletes age 12 and up, both male and female, use wooden poles (without blades) as sticks, and large felt discs with an open centre as pucks.

Our Bobcats Floor Hockey team also develops key individual skills to allow athletes to train and then compete in basic floor hockey skills. At competitions, as well as the traditional games, events such as ‘shoot around the goal’, ‘pass’, ‘stick handling’, ‘shoot for accuracy’ and ‘defence’ provide meaningful competition for some of our athletes with lower ability levels.

A Proud Team at the Provincials in 2015!

Our Floor Hockey team were over the moon when they made it to the Provincial finals and travelled to compete in Ottawa in 2015, bringing home Silver medals and making Special Olympics Burlington even more proud of our amazing athletes!
