Swimming

When:  7pm – 8:30pm on Wednesday nights from September until April

Location:  Tansley Woods Recreation centre

Our Swim team is one of the longest established in Burlington’s Special Olympics community and is incredibly popular with 40 athletes taking part, ranging from those still working on mastering a stroke to athletes who compete at Provincial level. We train for competition – and we take part in six meets at weekends (usually Sundays) throughout the season, competing with other Special Olympics Teams across the South Central Region. Athletes must be 9 years of age or older, and must be able to swim 1 length of the pool independently.
